The Doctrine of the Bible:
We believe that every word of the Bible is inspired by God and free from error. Where there seems to be contradictions within the Bible further study will reveal the complete unity and accuracy of these sacred writings. We believe that the King James Authorized version is the preserved Word for the English speaking world and it is therefore our final authority for faith and practice and is the only version that we use. (Matthew 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-16; II Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 19:7-8; Psalm 12:6-7; Proverbs 30:5-6; Matthew 24:35; John 17:6,8,14,20). For more information click here.
The Doctrine of God:
We believe that there is one true God who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that these three have the same perfections and attributes being co-equal in glory and power and are equally worthy of our honor and obedience (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 12:29-30; Romans 1:20; II Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7).
The Doctrine of Christ:
We believe that Jesus Christ is God, and became flesh, being conceived of the Holy Ghost and physically born of the virgin Mary. We believe that He was fully God and fully man and that He lived a sinless life and died a substitutionary death on the cross. We believe that He died in the sinner's place bearing our sins and shedding His blood that all those who believe on Him may have remission and forgiveness of sins. We believe that Christ bodily arose from the grave, thus completing the work of redemption and eternally defeating Satan and sin (Romans 3:24-26, Romans 4:24-25; Philippians 3:20-21, 1 Peter 2:24, Ephesians 1:7; John 20:20; I Corinthians 15: 16-17, 55-57).
The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Spirit of God is a divine person, co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. We believe that He accomplishes the work of God in the life of the sinner by reproving and convicting them and then regenerating those who repent and believe the gospel. We believe that He indwells each believer and guides, teaches, fills and empowers them to the will of God on earth (John 3:6-8,14:26, 16:8, 13-15; Romans 8:14,16,26-27; Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 2:8-11; II Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19-2).
The Doctrine of Man:
We believe in the literal interpretation of the Genesis account of creation. We believe that man was created by God, in God’s own image and in a sinless state and that man chose to sin against God and therefore fell from his innocent and happy state. We believe that sin, spiritual death and the depravity of the human nature has been transmitted to the entire human race. Men are sinners by nature and choice and subject to God’s wrath and are in need of salvation through Christ (Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 3:10-19; Romans 1:18, 32; Romans 5:12).
The Doctrine of Salvation:
We believe that salvation is of grace alone and was paid for by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ whose works alone are accepted by the Father as a payment for sin. We believe that salvation is available to all and that all who meet God's prerequisites will be saved. We believe that the prerequisites to salvation are repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We do not believe that repentance and faith are works of man but rather proper responses to God. We believe the only thing that prevents the salvation of anyone is their own voluntary rejection of the Holy Spirit as He convicts them of their sinful condition before God and reveals to them the truth of the Gospel. The sinner either repents (turns from sin) or rejects and that determines their eternal fate. We believe at the moment of salvation a person receives the eternal Spirit and eternal salvation and security. A saved person is a child of God through the new birth and is eternally secure in the family of God and can never be in a lost condition again. God will chasten His children but will never remove their son ship or salvation.(Ephesians 2:8-9; Colossians 1:14,20; Romans 3:24-26; II Peter 3:9; 1 Timothy 2:4; John 1:9, 3:14-18, John 12: 32; Acts 6:51; I John 2:1-2; Acts 2:38-41, 11:18, 16:14, 31; II Timothy 2:25: Romans 10:17; :9, 7; 25; Romans 6:23, Romans 8:15-16, 35-39; John 10:27-29; Galatians 3:26).
The Doctrine of the Church:
We believe that the church is defined in the Bible as a “called-out” assembly of believers who have been baptized by immersion by proper authority after salvation, and are bonded together with God and one another with the purpose of bringing glory to God through worship and obedience to God. We believe that a true New Testament church will hold the Scriptures as their final and only authority for all matters of faith and practice and will depend upon the Holy Ghost as their Divine Leader, and the Lord Jesus Christ as their only head. We believe that each of the Lord's churches should be obeying His commission and observing His ordinances. We believe the only two Biblical ordinances are baptism and the Lord's supper. The commission and ordinances should only be obeyed and observed in the context of the New Testament church to which they were given by the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that each one of the Lord’s churches is, independent and autonomous. It should be free from any controlling, outside force. The Word of God also reveals that the church is “the House of God,” “the Temple of God” the Body of Christ,” and “the Pillar and Ground of the Truth" (Matthew16:18; 18:15-18; Acts 2:41-42; Ephesians 1:22-23; 1Corinthians 3:16-17, 12:27; 1 Timothy 3:14-15; Colossians 1:18; Acts 13:1-4, 15:19-31, 20:28; Romans 16:1, 4; 1 Corinthians 3: 9,16; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 26:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:41-42; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30,12:13-14).
